‘These Are Not Audio Projects’ — Ogra As South-East Backs Tinubu For Second Term
citing visible infrastructure and development projects
The South-East on Tuesday threw its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office, as political leaders, stakeholders and supporters gathered in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, to endorse the President and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, citing visible infrastructure and development projects across the state and the region.
The endorsement came amid growing political conversations ahead of the 2027 elections, with supporters insisting that the achievements of both administrations were evident in roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, housing projects and other critical infrastructure being delivered across communities.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communications, Engagement and New Media Strategy, Otega Ogra, who was among those present at the event, said what he witnessed on the ground reinforced the growing support for the President in the region.
He declared, the projects being executed across Ebonyi State had become impossible to ignore.
“Yesterday, in Abakaliki, the South East came alive to endorse President Bola Tinubu for another term as well as Governor Francis Nwifuru,” Ogra stated.
Ogra added that residents and stakeholders pointed to what they described as visible evidence of the Renewed Hope Agenda in action across the state.
“They say they can see the Renewed Hope in action across every local government area in new roads, bridges, improved hospitals, new housing infrastructure, schools and universities being constructed among others. I saw these projects myself and I’m more than satisfied and convinced,” he stressed.
The presidential aide dismissed criticisms circulating on social media regarding the impact of government programmes, insisting that the realities on the ground told a different story.
“You can argue all you want, you can make false claims on social media, but you can’t deny what is visible and tangible in the eyes of those in the grassroots. These are not audio projects,” he further revealed.
Also speaking, Minister of Works, David Umahi, said President Tinubu had demonstrated commitment to the development of the South-East through key infrastructure investments and projects across the region.
According to Umahi, the President’s interventions in the South-East reflect the administration’s determination to ensure equitable development across all geopolitical zones of the country.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done a lot, not just for Ebonyi State, but for the entire South-East. As he’s doing for other geopolitical zones, he’s doing for us,” the minister disclosed.
The endorsement gathering drew participants from across the region, with supporters maintaining that ongoing projects and development initiatives had strengthened confidence in both the federal and Ebonyi State governments.
The event is expected to further fuel political discussions in the region as parties and stakeholders gradually begin positioning ahead of the next electoral cycle.
