Quality Of Job Being Done Is First Class – Gov AbdulRazaq Speaks On BUA Road Projects In Kwara
praised BUA Group for delivering solid infrastructure despite the rainy season
Kwara State governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commended the quality of work on the 49-kilometre Eiyenkorin–Afon–Ojoku–Offa–Odo Otin road project, describing it as “first class” and a testament to the impact of the federal tax credit scheme.
Speaking after inspecting the ongoing construction on Saturday, the governor praised BUA Group for delivering solid infrastructure despite the rainy season, noting that the project is one of four major roads being funded in the state under the scheme. He said the road, financed through BUA’s tax credit, will drastically cut travel time between Ilorin, Offa and surrounding communities.

“This is Ilorin/Offa new road, and you can see how solid it is. We have to thank President Bola Tinubu for this project. It is a major achievement as you can see,” AbdulRazaq told reporters. “When completed, the travel time from Ilorin to Offa will be 30 minutes. This is a good investment and another product of the Renewed Hope Agenda. It shows that the policies are working. There is more money for infrastructure, and people can see that even within the state. We do appreciate the President.”
The governor said the people of Kwara are “fully behind” Tinubu for a second term post-2027 so that his developmental agenda can run its full course. “Who will say ‘no to President Tinubu’ after seeing all these investments done at the state and elsewhere?” he asked.
AbdulRazaq was accompanied on the tour by his special adviser on special duties, AbdulRazaq Jiddah, and the chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Shehu Raheem Adaramaja. The site engineer, Abdulsalam Onaolapo, briefed the governor on progress, assuring that the project will be delivered on schedule.

The governor also referenced BUA’s work on the Bode Sadu–Kaiama–Kosubosu road, commending the construction quality there as well. “The quality of job being done by BUA is first class. They are doing a good job, and even now in the rainy season, construction work is ongoing. I say well done to BUA,” he said.
Beyond the road inspection, AbdulRazaq visited the renovation site of the Primary Healthcare Centre in Okesho, Asa LGA. He also paid condolence visits to the families of Daudu Ballah and Abdulkadir Kawu Yahya, who died on Friday, and attended the fidau prayer for former state accountant general Suleiman Bayero.
