Oil barons Haruna Mohmoh and Gbenga Komolafe are said to have become more cautious.

And gone further underground sources claim.

This development is attributed to the recent fall from grace of  Andrew Yakubu, the former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum corporation.

Yakubu was discovered to have hidden all of $9,772,000 & £74,000 inside a fire proof safe in his Kaduna House.

The ‘’mega cash’’ was discovered in a raid by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

It is believed investigators from the anti corruption agency have been ‘’cycling’’ Haruna Mohmoh a former managing Director of the Petroleum Product Marketing Company and Gbenga Komolafe a major player in the petroleum sector.

Both are whispered to have made a chunk of wealth based on ‘’friendship’’ with former petroleum minister, Diezani Allison Madueke.

Investigators are said to be trying to determine how ”clean” their wealth is.

Their ”friend” and former minister currently abroad undergoing treatment for cancer is the subject of multiple allegations of corruption – though she insists on her innocence in face of reports of seized properties and frozen bank accounts.

‘’the Yakubu seized cash and excitement that trailed it has shifted public attention back to investigating oil men, and Mohmoh and Komolafe are now forced  to moved further underground in other not to attract the wrong attention’’ a source explained.

The duo have shunned the public glare since investigation of former minister Madueke began and public interest in dealings – past and present- in the petroleum sector became a hysteria of sort.
