Oba Saheed Elegushi

The ownership of the status enhancing ride utilised by youthful

monarch Saheed Elegushi to celebrate his coronation ceremony appears a ruse after all.

Sources maintained barely months after the event the wonder on wheels identified as a black Rolls Royce is nowhere to be found at the place.

And those close to the former federal house of representative hopeful reigning under the traditinonal title Kushenla II insists the automobile disappeared from the palace immediately the fun fare died down.

The impression created during the coronation ceremony was that the newly crowned monarch purchased the car to commemorate his new status- a development that is a far cry from the present scenario that he makes use of his late father’s fleet of cars.

Sources maintained that just like his father, the newly crowned monarch has adopted the lifestyle of living in the main palace with only trusted male subjects and family members.

A special provision is said to be made for his wife and children in other part of the palace compound.

Palace sources maintained that in line with tradition moves are on for him to take another new wife to honour his new position.

Meanwhile investigations revealed that the new king has initiated a series of peace process that is aimed at cementing the crack between him and his elder brother Aremo Adewale.

The brothers – of same father but different mothers- had fallen out when ‘the elders’ based on alleged oracle divination picked Saheed Elegushi as their father’s successor instead of the widely speculated Aremo.

Oba Saheed Elegushi was officially crowned the new king on April 27 2010 at a hugely attended affair held at the palace of his late father at Ikate- Elegushi in Lekki axis of Lagos.
