“No Arrest” – Adebutu Tells Why He Was In & Out Of Ogun Police HQ

Oladipupo Adebutu, the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the March 2023 election was at the Ogun State Police Headquarters, Eleweran.

He shut down reports of arrest insisting that he was a guest of the police based on his free will to clear airs on “frivolous petitions”.

Adebutu reportedly chatted with the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, and later the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department during what he also labeled “a courtesy visit”.

The Gubernatorial candidate who is challenging the election win that gave Governor Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) a second term in office reportedly left the Ogun State Police Headquarters within the hour of his visit.

The revelation shuts down claims, amplified by Governor Abiodun’s aide, that Adebutu had been arrested.

This development comes barely days after Adebutu returned from his self imposed exile.
