‘They are roaming the streets in search of how to better their fortunes’ a source stated.
The reference is to some of the former aides of minister for Solid Materials, Kayode Fayemi when he was governor of Ekiti state.
They are said to be dire financial strait and in need of a bail out business.
Information filtering in revealed they found themselves in this uncomfortable situation due to their exploits while in power with they principal.
Sources claimed they utilised inside knowledge and clout within the system to corner different big money contracts, road constructions, streets electrification and such.
‘The play was to get approval, use personal funds to kick start in order to show seriousness of purpose and leverage on that to secure payments from the government back then’ a source claimed.
Additional information revealed the parties roaming the street in search of bail out businesses where in the thick of such an arrangement when their principal lost his re election bid.
‘They had used their money to fund some contracts and were expecting payment’ an informant revealed.
The payment said to be in the mould of billions is currently hanging as new state helms man Ayo Fayose reviews all that happened in the tenure of his predecessor.
Some of the contracts have been labelled inflated.
Societynowng.com learnt with their personal funds (capital) and expected yields trapped, the former governor aides are currently engaged in all sort of entrepreneurial pursuits to sustain image.
Some are said to have retraced their steps to former places of employment attempting to take up past duties in the pretext of consultants.
Others are said to be seeking political appointments within the All Progressives Congress party structure attempting to leverage on position as former governor Fayemi’s aides and wiping of sympathy of alleged persecution by governor Ayo Fayose.
A larger percentage are however said to be at odds with their former principal now minister for solid minerals…reason?
‘Immediately after he lost the re election to retain his seat many showed attitude and acts of disloyalty…so currying favour from him, in his new position is a no show for such people’ a source stated.
