Why Omisore Is Beholden To Fayemi

Emerging details have it that if there is someone that former Senator Iyiola Omisore is beholden to at present, it is Kayode Fayemi, the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that Fayemi spearheaded his widespread influence to place Omisore on the pedestal of political reckoning in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Omisore, a former deputy governor of Osun state was against all odds elected the National Secretary of the APC in March 2022.

“It was Fayemi that championed the negotiation that got Omisore that position at the last minute, Omisore almost lost it like all the other slots that came his way since he joined the APC” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Omisore, the Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the 2018 gubernatorial election in Osun started his open romance with the APC by teaming with the party in a run-off that got its candidate,Gboyega Oyetola elected as the Governor.

Omisore, a major player in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) before he joined SDP to contest the 2018 Osun governorship election, defected to the APC before the 2019 general election.

But he was unable to get the Senatorial ticket and later the ministerial position he was promised in the face of intense opposition from the face of the APC at the grassroots in Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola reportedly mounted stiff opposition against Omisore amounting to much in APC and had his way until Fayemi championed the efforts that got the former Senator elected as the National Secretary.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and other persons played “vital roles” but it was Fayemi that was at the forefront according to the information at hand.

Inside information has it that Aregbesola’s soured relationship with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu over his unending super,acy tussle with Oyetola boosted Fayemi in helping Omisore attain reckoning in APC.
