Bayelsa Gov Confirms Plan To Take Part In 10km Road Race

‎Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has stated that he will be participating in the 10 Kilometers Yenagoa City International Race, slated for tomorrow, Saturday, 4th April, 2026.

‎Governor Diri made the statement when he received organisers of the race, led by Mrs. Yetunde Olapade in his country home of Sampou, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area.

‎The governor in his remarks, stated, “First, let me welcome you to the glory of all lands. I want to thank you and your team for choosing Bayelsa, and we are hoping to a very interesting world class event.

‎Even though you don’t see an immediate impact, these are programs that will be beneficial to our people, especially the young ones, with time.

‎I will come out to participate and let’s come out to give our support to the organisers”, Governor Diri stated.
