The leadership of the All Progressives Congress might have adopted the public posture of not ‘’investigating’’ or ‘’taking on’’ Minister Rotimi Amaechi over the leaked audio tape in which he was recorded abusing the president, societynow.ng learned the development is certainly not one without repercussion.

Sources disclosed that the leaked video ruffled quite a bit of feather within the ruling All Progressives Congress but the party opted to publicly turn a blind eye from it for obvious reason.

‘’Election is already at hand and refusal to join issues over the claims made in the leaked audio or taking on the person who made the damaging comments will the matter to quickly go away’’ a source pointed out.

But away from the perceived inaction of the party, sources disclose Amaech I is being given the ‘’pariah’’ treatment.

‘’He is being caged, officially left to retain his position but with more restricted access’’ a source stated.

Obviously, the theory of doctored tape didn’t really hold much water with those angry with him within the party multiple sources claim.

Societynow.ng gathered, even Amaechi’s main backers within the APC are uncomfortable with the development.

‘’You can’t just be caught openly taking on your boss like that, that is totally uncalled for’’ a source summed up the consensus of opinions within the top hierarchy of the party.

Insiders insist the development has further thrown up the huge crisis of loyalty for the minister believed to be aggrieved over superintending a ministry that was already parceled out in piece meals to different agencies and consultants.

Sources claim the end result of Amaechi’s leaked misspeak awaits him after the general election.
