Musiliu Akinsanya, the Chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the NURTW(National Union Of RoadTransport Workers) has revealed his position on the latest crisis rocking his association.

Street boys who are loyal to different chieftains of the NURTW clashed in Idumota area of Lagos Island last week Thursday, 20 January 2022.

The violent clash resulted in the death of one crippled commercial activity in that part of Lagos state and its environs.

Two chieftains of the NURTW Seego (Mustapha Adekunle) and Kunle Poly (Kunle Lawal) were arrested in connection with the incident yesterday, Monday 24, 2022.

Seego is the second most powerful person in the Lagos state chapter of NURTW Treasurer while Kunle Poly is a branch member. Both have Lagos Island as their bases.

The arresting authority, the Lago Rapid Response Squad (RSS) named Seego and Kunle Poly “two principal suspects in the constant clashes in Idumota and its environs”.

The arrest was effected by RSS Commander CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi.

Stating his position on the development, NURTW Chairman Oluomo insisted that the RSS should do “a proper investigation” and let whoever is found guilty “face the law”.
