An insider in the Osun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disputed the talks of trending reconciliation between Minister Rauf Aregbesola and Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The insider, Seun Abosede, the Youth Leader of the Rasaq Salinsile-led faction of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says the assertion is not correct.

He insists that the minister and governor did not have any reconciliation meeting.

Providing a contrary narrative to the trending claims, Abosede stated in a statement released on Sunday, June 26, 2022 “The people circulating the picture are same set of people who had crucified, badmouthed and lied against Aregbesola to achieve their selfish goal. They should bury their heads in shame for smearing the former governor’s image.

“The people behind the circulation of the picture should be humble and sincere enough to initiate a reconciliation move if they so desire. We considered the widespread circulation of the picture as tricky and an attempt to blackmail the minister.

“The general public should please disregard the fake news”,

This development comes just days before the July 16 gubernatorial election in Osun state.

Oyetola and Aregbesola famously fell out over the latter’s failed attempt to stop the former from getting the Osun APC gubernatorial ticket for another term.
