Osinbajo Under Pressure To V.P Candidate – Report
An emerging report says Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is under pressure to rejoin the 2023 presidential race.
According to the report Osinbajo is being pressured to join the Rabiu Kwankwaso team as the Vice Presidential candidate.
Kwankwaso is the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
Osinbajo contested the Presidential primary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) but lost to political leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He urged all members of the APC to come together to help Tinubu the party and Tinubu win the 2023 presidential election and retained very minimal public presence.
The report monitored by SocietyNow.Ng on Newswirengr.com, however, indicates that Osinbajo may be silent but there are a lot of underground activities around his name.
According to the NewswireNgr’s report, “although close aides of the Vice President described this as mere speculation”, Kwankwaso’s party which is making political inroads in the north is actively lobbying Osinbajo to join its rank as vice-presidential candidate.
SocietyNow/Ng’s independent checks, however, revealed this is considered far-fetched by those familiar with Osinbajo.
“I don’t see that happening. He contested the APC presidential primary on conviction, he is going to abide by the outcome of the process and stand with the party and its presidential candidate, irrespective of his sentiments” SocietyNow.Ng learned.
