Information filtering in revealed Olumide, the man widely touted as inheritor of the political structure of ex governor of Ogun state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba has withdrawn into the shadows.

Olumide, a former federal House of Representatives member is the son of the once upon a chief executive officer of Ogun state and respected figure in the media world.

46.016 garnered by candidate of his former party All Progressives Congress – Mikail Kazeem.

Olumide had towed the path of his father to fly the banner of Social Democratic Party – as a result of protracted leadership tussle with governor Ibukunle Amosun – in the general election that earned him a landslide loss in march 2015.

Investigations by societynowng.com however revealed what is giving fans and observers of the ways of the former federal house of representatives member cause for concern is not his electoral loss, but attitude he has adopted ever since.

‘’It’s like he has just retreated into his father’s shadow..we don’t hear anything from him again…though to be fair to him, he wasn’t that visible as a sitting reps member, but that a successor of the legacy of man like Osoba just disappeared like that is the issue’’ a source stated.

Believed to be back in Lagos , where he has restricted interactions to just very familiar friends, Olumide who represented Abeokuta- North/ Obafemi- Owode/ Odeda is labelled a scare commodity in his constituency since his electoral defeat.
And not only this, he has left his father to keep the Osoba name relevant with intermittent comments on issues of national importance.

‘’For a man faced with such a big task, inheritor of Aremo Osoba’s legacy…one would expect far better performance, visibility than being shown…a lot of great political players had far lesser fulcrum to leverage on to prominence’’ a source stated.
Digs by societynowng.com revealed that away from the electoral mishap that befell his image with the political adventure with SDP at the last general election, Chief Olusegun Osoba retains a certain appeal in Ogun state and beyond based on his pedigree.

‘’It is not about what happened but where he is coming from and all the things he did to make a name…those things, his pedigree counts..it is just not soo good that the son that ought to serve as a bridge between the past and future as a beacon of hope as chosen to retreat into the shadows of the waning influence of the father at the first sign of threat’’ a source surmised the situation on ground.
