INEC Officially Declares Obaseki Winner Of Edo 2020 Guber Election

The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki winner of Edo 2020 Election.

The Governor achieved this feat with 84, 336 votes more than his main rival Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

According to results made known by the Independent Electoral Commission monitored by societynow.ng via a live transmission by channels, Obaseki polled 307 955 votes while Ize-Iyamu amassed 223,619 votes.

INEC’s result revealed that Obaseki won in Fourteen (14) out of the Eighteen (18) Local Governments in Edo state.

Obaseki contested the election which held yesterday, September 19, 2020 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) while Ize-Iyamu was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress.
