Acting Chairman of anti corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – Ibrahim Magu is on borrowed time sources insist.

Those behind this assertion claims what makes it clear is the ouster of Senate Majority leader Ali Ndume.

Ndume was abruptly and shockingly removed from office after speaking against Senate’s refusal to confirm Magu as EFCC Chairman.

The anti graft agency’s boss currently operates in acting capacity.

Ndume claimed the rejection of Magu by the Senate led by Senate President Bukola Saraki did not follow due process and highly irregular.

Saraki and Magu are confirmed to have ‘’a sour history’’.
Ndume and Magu are from the same state – Borno.

Information available revealed Magu was already about to be sacrificed on the altar of political interest between the Senate and Presidency but for the leak of the clandestine move.

‘’the outcry is what earned him the borrowed time’’ a source stated.

The move to sack the EFCC boss is being perfected on the wings of a damning report by the State Security Service.

Ironically the SSS is led by Lawal Daura, a man reported to be at odds with Magu.

Magu’s hope of reversing is fate with underground lobby thanks to the space provided with leaked information of his impending removal is believed to have been taken away with the sack of Ndume.
