How MTN Nigeria Is Making December Brighter For Nigerians

There is no ‘turnt up’ as good as changing the lives of others. It gets even more ‘turnt’ when we can help a large number of people at the same time. This is what happened at the launch of the 2018 edition of MTN Nigeria’s Season of Surprises – an annual event which has held in December for four years. This is an initiative deeply rooted in sharing the surprise of the season so that others can pass it on and on.

Over the years hundreds of lives have been greatly impacted and the various areas that the Surprise has taken eager volunteers (MTNM Staff) to, have had unforgettable experiences.

This year’s season was launched in Ikoyi with fanfare and pomp. And as with the theme, many residents in the area were surprised with bags of rice, bottles of oil, packs of noodles and many more.

The highlight that had the residents dancing in pure joy was the raffle draw where residents were picked at random for the grand prizes of generator sets. It was touching to see winners cry from joy, as the gifts did not seem to just touch their emotions but was an answer to needs. Their sometimes staccato dance steps were a joy to experience!

But the residents were in for a different treat when Dakore Egbuson-Akande, walked in to the venue with a megawatt smiles on her face. This Star actress, Dakore Egbuson, was serving hot looks in the scorching sun on Sunday, December 2, at MTN Nigeria’s launch for the initiative, Season of Surprises.

Security personnel had to work double time to prevent a stampede. When it all calmed down, the photo sessions began, and excited fans of the star enveloped her to get their pictures.

It was a great end to a great event which was for an even greater cause!
