How Creator Of National Event, African Drum Festival Lost “Right” To One Of Nation’s Tourism’s Best

The real initiator of the now popular African Drum Festival – ex-tourism commissioner Muyiwa Oladipo – gave up his right to the claim trying to please his boss, the former Governor of Ogun state Ibikunle Amosun.

In trying to get the project to work- and government to back it – Oladipo operated in the shadow of Amosun.

Discovered to be backing incumbent Governor Dapo Abiodun – against the passionate wish of Amosun – Oladipo was relieved of his position as commissioner and sidelined in the last edition of the African Drum Festival.

And Amosun , who was on his last term in office – proudly proclaimed self as brain behind the now famous project.
