Big spender Ibrahim Egungbohun pulled the plug on his support for gubernatorial candidate Gboyega Nasir Isiaka on the day of the election.

Sources close to the generous socialite more popularly known as Dende disclosed he ordered his followers to vote for another candidate on the day of the election.

‘’We were told to cast out votes for Akinlade’’ a source stated

Adekunle Akinlade is the candidate of the Allied People’s Movement fiercely backed by governor Ibikunle Amosun to become the next governor of Ogun state while Gboyega Isiaka flew the flag of African Democratic Congress on the day of the election.

Both Akinlade and Isiaka lost the Ogun state gubernatorial election to Dapo Abiodun, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

According to a source in the know, Dende’s followers received the directive to vote for GNI early in the morning on the day of the March 9 gubernatorial election.

‘’We just received the order not to vote GNI but Akinlade and we followed through’’ a source stated

Sketchy information available revealed that Dende switched support from GNI to Akinlade as part of the negotiation to protect the main revenue stream into his mega-money business concern, IBD IMPEX.
