Former Governor of Lagos State, Akunwunmi Ambode is actively working to get his choice as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the 58-year-old is siding with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Osinbajo and Ambode are products of the political tutelage of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the first person to publicly declare his interest in becoming the next President of Nigeria.
Osinbajo went public with his ambition a month after Asiwaju – in the face of intense speculation.
Before he went against the ambition of his mentor, Osinbajo was seen as one of the loyalists of the political leader who played a major role in the formation of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and coming to power of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.
Ambode fell out with Asiwaju over a “failed attempt” to hijack the political structure the political leader used to make Governor of Lagos state in 2015.
With the political might taken away, Ambode was unable to secure a second term ticket in 2019 and infamously went down as the only Lagos Governor to serve a single term – After Tinubu’s 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007 two-term of four years each tenure.
