The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has celebrated her husband, Alhaji Olabode Kacheef Oyedele, FCA, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, describing him as a loving husband, devoted father and a man of integrity.

In a heartfelt message shared on her social media page on Monday morning, Salako-Oyedele expressed gratitude to God for her husband’s life and reflected on his contributions to their family and the lives of many others.

“Today, I celebrate not just the milestone of your 70th birthday, but the remarkable man that you are; a loving husband, devoted father, dependable friend, and a man of quiet strength, wisdom, and integrity,” she wrote.

The deputy governor said she had been privileged to witness her husband’s unwavering commitment to family, generosity and strong moral values over the years.

“Over the years, I have been privileged to witness your steadfast commitment to family, your generosity of spirit, your sense of duty, and the values that guide your life. You have been a source of support, encouragement, and sound counsel, not only to me, but to many others whose lives you have touched,” she added.

Salako-Oyedele also offered prayers for continued divine favour, good health and happiness for the celebrant as he marks the landmark age of 70.

“As we mark this special occasion, I give thanks to Almighty Allah for His mercy and favour upon your life. I pray that He grants you continued good health, peace of mind, happiness, and many more years filled with His blessings and the love of family and friends,” she gave an heartfelt prayer.

In a deeply personal tribute, the deputy governor addressed her husband by his traditional title and praise name, “Adisa,” while also invoking a Yoruba eulogy that reflects his roots and lineage.

“Happy 70th Birthday, my dear Adisa, omo igi meta n’Ibeju, ikan n so owo, ikan n so iyun, ikan n so alaari baba aso,” (Adisa son of the three trees, one bears money, another bears valuable beads and the third bears king of cloths, Alaari) she praised.

The expression, a traditional Yoruba praise chant, celebrates ancestry, industriousness and honour, underscoring the esteem in which the celebrant is held by his family and community.

She concluded the message with prayers for greater fulfilment in the years ahead, “May Allah continue to preserve you and make the years ahead even more rewarding than those behind. Amin.”
