Gov Diri Tells “How We Can Live In Peace & Unity”
“no matter our political parties, and no matter our differences”
Bayelsa state governor Duoye tells “how we can live in peace and unity as a people” on Easter.
The Governor’s made his position known on social media in a post that reads…
As you already know, for us as a government, it is about how we can live in peace and unity as a people. So as a state, no matter our political parties, and no matter our differences, let us look for the common things that bind us together.
Let me again also use this opportunity of this resurrection day to also condole with all those who lost their lives in the unfortunate boat mishap that occurred at Okoroma in the Brass-bound boat and to those who are injured, I hear some of them are in the hospital.
Let me use this opportunity to direct the Honourable Commissioner for Health to ensure that all those who are injured in that unfortunate boat mishap receive treatment free from the state government. And whatever that they have expended before, be refunded back to them.”
~His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State speaking during the Easter Service at the King of Glory Chapel, Govt.House, Yenagoa.
