Daniel and Abiodun are enmeshed in a deep seethed supremacy that has forced chieftains of the their party, All Progressives Congress (APC) to take sides.

A major highlight of their quarrel is allegation that Daniel who won is Ogun East Senatorial election by the highest margin ever had a hand in Abiodun’s near-loss in his second term ambition.

Abiodun won the Ogun state 2023 election by less than fourteen thousand (14,000) and is fighting a legal battle from Ladi Adebutu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who wants the court to invalidate the victory.
