Footballer Taye Taiwo is gradually working towards adding another appendix to his name- that of being one of the highest numbers of house owner in Lagos State.

Informants divulged that the round leather game player that just concluded a deal to move to AC Milan, in the Italian League, from French Team, Olympique Marseille is on a property acquisition spree in the state governed by re elected number one citizen, Babatunde Raji Fashola.

His area of concentration is identified as Alimosho Local Government area- specifically Isheri, Idimu and Ikotun axis.

The popular Super Eagles player grew up in this area, along with his parents.

As at last count an informant maintained that ‘ Taye has acquired over twenty five properties in the area’

Though he has moved to another part of Lagos- Festac Town- with his wife and children, sources explained that his parent, family members and friends he grew up with in Alimosho area currently serve as his scout in his property acquisition mission.

Sources maintained that the footballer prefer properties in this area because of his familiarity of the terrain that limits his exposure to fraud.

According to those in the know, the fee he shells out for the properties is gradually creating a ‘sudden millionaires’ among his scouts.

This development is said to have ginger others not in the fold to embrace the mission with the aim of making their ‘own wealth’ off Taye’s new found passion.

Aside his growing reputation as a ‘Landlord’ in the area- insiders claimed that the footballer is well known for his generosity in that part of Lagos.

Doling out car and cash gifts to friends and associate in need is tagged second nature to him.

He is said to enjoy tremendous goodwill as a result of this and other acts of kindness he dishes out.

Before he embraced stardom the popular defender with a flair for scoring goals was one of the numerous bands of suffering afflicted street football players in Idimu with no meaningful means of livelihood.
