“False, Mischievous” – Offical Reaction To Claims Kyari Was Attacked In Prison
shut down the claims
The Nigerian Correctional Service has reacted to claims that suspended police Chief Abba Kyari suffered an attack in Kuje prison.
“The story is false, reckless and mischievous.” Francis Enobore, the Service’s Public Relations Officer shut down the claims.
“For the record, Abba Kyari is one of the over 800 inmates in the location where he is being kept.
“However, notable individuals including ex-governors, ministers, senators and other celebrities of higher social status have passed through the same facility without any threat to their lives,” Enobore provided more insight.
The reaction comes on the heels of emerging claims that Kyari who is undergoing prosecution for offenses premised on abuse of office, corruption, and involvement in drug dealing is seeking bail
The suspended deputy commissioner of police was arrested and arraigned along with his men – fellow police officers – police officers- ACP Sunday J. Ubia, ASP Bawa James, Insp. Simon Agirigba and Insp. John Nuhu.
