The marriage of Olamiposi Akala to Lanre Aboderin kick started with a lavish ceremony in Ogbomoso, Oyo state on October 31 2009 is in shreds.

Informants attribute the reason for this state of affairs in the matrimony of the daughter of the former governor of Oyo state, Adebayo Alao Akala to allegations of wife battering against the husband.

According to a source ‘ Lanre over time developed the habit of beating Olamipo at the slightest provocation’

The immediate cause of the incident that finally collapsed the two year old marriage is said to have roots in recent trip by Olamipo to deliver the couple’s first baby abroad- the United States of America.

While his wife was abroad, Lanre was alleged to have found it normal to bring in female friends into his matrimonial home to fill the physical and emotional vacuum created by his wife’s absence.

Sources alleged that on her return, the wife was informed of this development and she confronted her husband.

Maintained a source ‘just like he always does, he ended up beating Olamipo but just like in such cases, the beating turned out one too many’

Sources claimed that fed up with the incessant battering of his daughter, ex governor Akala was said to have ordered his daughter out of her matrimonial home.

She was said to have left with the new child.

The former governor is said to have secured a new apartment and set up a salon for her.

The business establishment tagged Hair World is said to be located on Awolowo Street, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo state.

According to an informant ‘she is trying to pick up the pieces of her life without her husband’s involvement at present’

Friends of Aboderin, the embattled husband and boss of car tracking company, Fast Track claims Olamipo’s ‘arrogance’ is the root of the problems rocking the union.

Insiders claimed Olamipo and Lanre are not attempting any move at reconciliation at present.
