Diri Insists APC Has No Candidate In Bayelsa Guber, Victory Certain

urged members of the group to turn out in their large numbers

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has appreciated a support group, the Bayelsa United Youths Assembly led by Mr. Ebikebina Akpe and Ari Fekorogha for mobilizing support for his second tenure ambition.

Speaking at the entrance of Government House where members of the Bayelsa United Youths Assembly terminated a one -million man solidarity march in support of his re-election, Governor Diri described the group as a unique body with qualified voters who have all turned up for the rally with their PVCs.

He expressed appreciation to the group for their show of solidarity for his administration and urged them to remain in their various units to spread the gospel of prosperity, assuring that his administration will consolidate on the achievements so far made.

Governor Diri urged members of the group to turn out in their large numbers on election day to vote for the PDP and protect their votes, stressing that they have no reason to be intimidated by the opposition.

The state helmsman said in the eyes of the law the APC has no candidate, saying the judgment that disqualified him is a declarative one which gives him no opportunity to file for a stay of execution.

He expressed optimism that the PDP will emerge victorious and tasked youths of the state to remain steadfast until the PDP is declared winner.

Speaking on behalf of the Bayelsa United Youths Assembly, Mr. Ebikebina Akpe said they were in Government House to assure the Governor of their unalloyed support for his re-election.

He said they have over fifty thousand members with PVCs cutting across the eight LGAs and assured the Governor that they will stop at nothing to ensure he is re-elected.

The group numbering thousands of youths marched from Opolo to Government House and displayed their PVCs in show of solidarity with Governor Diri.
