Saturday April 10, 2021 the Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola got upset in public.

The incident that caused the first son of late respected Jurist Muritala Okunola great offence transpired on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi Lagos State.

Societynow.ng gathered that at the center of the incident was the automobile – Range Rover – of the man touted as possible replacement for the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

“I believe he was angered by what happened to his car” a source described the mien of the the 49yr old former Personal Assistant to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Information at hand disclosed the specific place of incident as very near the official residence of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State.
 
The information at hand, however, revealed that despite his anger Muri-Okunola who joined the Lagos Civil Service in 2001 and was appointed Head of Service in December 2018 did not betray his status with unbecoming behavior.

“He was obviously agitated but wasn’t issuing threats or voicing expletives at anybody despite the number of people crowding the scene” societynow.ng learned.

Further checks revealed this assessment is in character with Muri – Okunola who grew up in Lagos Island, had his first degree (Bachelor’s degree in Law) from the Lagos State University in 1995 and went on get a Master’s Degree in International Business Law in 1999 from the Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London.

Those familiar with his ways disclosed that no matter how vexed he is, Muri-Okunola popularly called HMO or simply “H” by friends always strive to remain calm.

“He is like that..naturally you see the signals but he is not given to explosive outbursts when he is angered rather he would pace to calm nerves” societynow.ng learned.
