Senator Demola Adeleke has refused to back down in the fight to become the next Governor of Osun state.

And this is despite emerging shift in the support of the leadership of his People’s Democratic Party.

The leaders of the Osun PDP are said to be increasingly switching support from Adeleke to the new entrant into the gubernatorial contest, Akin Ogunbiyi.

Sources confirm the Dancing Senator – as Demola is known for his uncaring public dance – is unrelenting in his campaign to succeed outgoing Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the All Progressives Congress.

Societynow.ng learned that politician who has his elder brother Billionaire Deji Adeleke as major backbone now goes about town in vehicles with special number plate “De Guv 1”.

Checks revealed the gubernatorial aspirant representing the people Osun West in the Senate now goes about in a convoy of cars with two security trucks.

Senator Adeleke is said to usually prefer a customized white bus while the vehicles in his convoy branded with his “Imole Osun” (Light of Osun) campaign slogan.

“That’s true, I spotted him on the way from Ede on his way to Osogbo on Saturday (June 23, 2018)” a source confirmed.

Societynow.ng gathered that outside the adoption of the special number plate, more billboards proclaiming the dancing senator’s gubernatorial ambition are also springing up in Osun state.

A development many concede shows the Senator and his backers appear all out to achieve his gubernatorial ambition, even in the face of waning support from leaders of the People’s Democratic Party.
