There are indications the Deputy Speaker of House Of Representatives Yusuf Lasun is battling a gloomy time in the ruling party All Progressives Congress.

Findings by Societynow.ng revealed the politician has been sidelined in the scheme of thing in the ruling party at the state and national levels.

Sources insist the recently released list of those who will work in Presidential Campaign Council for President Muhammadu Buhari reelection in 2019 is confirmation the Osun Born politician is not having a very sweet experience in the ruling party.

The Deputy Speaker’s name is conspicuously missing on the list, according to checks by societynow.ng.

Those who are familiar with the development maintained it’s an indication the representative of the people of Irepodun/Olurunda/Osogbo/Orolu Federal Constituency of Osun State is going through unpleasant time in APC.

But while Lasun is left out in the committee, Leader of the Federal House OF Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila – lower in rank and perceived influence than Lasun – is penciled down as a member of Special Advisory Committee to Mr. President.

Presidential Campaign Council chaired by President Muhammadu Buhair Buhari has APC national leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as co-chairman.

Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun was on the verge of officially announcing his retirement from APC sometimes in August 2018 but surprisingly backpedaled.

Claims he was allegedly promised speakership position was said to have made him rescind the move.

“He was convinced to stay back on the ground he would get the party support to become Speaker when Dogara is eventually removed”, a source in his camp whispered.

And obviously, that arrangement is on shaky grounds based on the treatment being meted out to him insiders insist.
