“Keep Your Head High, My Love, This Is Not the End” — Oyebamiji’s Wife Consoles Him After Guber Loss
APC governorship candidate in the 2026 Osun State election
Wife of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the 2026 Osun State election, Sekinat Oyebamiji, has consoled her husband, Bola Oyebamiji, following his defeat in the governorship election, assuring him that the outcome was not the end of his political journey.
Sekinat, in an emotional message to her husband, said she was deeply proud of the courage, resilience and commitment he displayed throughout the electioneering period.
She said she witnessed firsthand the sacrifices, long hours and energy Oyebamiji invested in the campaign, noting that he consistently gave his best and remained committed to what he believed in.
“Whatever the outcome, you gave it your all, and that alone makes me incredibly proud to call you my husband,” she said.
According to her, Oyebamiji’s determination, composure and commitment throughout the electoral contest were sources of inspiration to her.
She urged him not to be discouraged by the outcome of the election, stressing that the defeat should be seen as another chapter in a journey that still holds great possibilities.
“Keep your head high, my love. This is not the end of the journey; it is another chapter in the story of the great things ahead,” Sekinat said.
She added, “I am proud of you today, tomorrow and always.”
The message came after the Osun governorship election, in which the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, secured a fresh four-year mandate after defeating Oyebamiji and other contenders in the keenly contested poll.
Sekinat’s message has highlighted the personal dimension of political contests, particularly the sacrifices made by candidates and their families during lengthy election campaigns.
She maintained that irrespective of the electoral outcome, her husband’s effort, courage and commitment remained worthy of pride.
