Insiders attribute this development to the raging fight being mounted by Governor Amosun against Abiodun.

Amosun wants preferred choice Adekunle Akinlade to succeed him but Abiodun and his backers beat the governor to the ticket.

The development resulted in a fierce political battle that has put the governor on the losing side – with his influence greatly dwindled.

But insiders disclosed Governor Amosun has delivered a devastating blow to the ambition of Abiodun.

The President is also said to be attempting to keep the confidence of the other side by refusing to back the return of the gubernatorial ticket Amosun’s man Akinlade.
