And the chairman of Dangote group is said to be working against the interest of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
Dangote is backing Governor Amosun’s estranged friend Dapo Abiodun to become the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state insiders reveal.
The Ogun state Governor is said to be passionately against the emergence Abiodun as his successor.

The Ogun state Governor had attempted to make Akinlade the consensus gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Ogun state but the move was fiercely resisted forcing the Amosun to tow the party line of accepting to let his “candidate” undergo primary election.
Societynow.ng learned Dangote is fiercely backing Abiodun to win the gubernatorial primary scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2018.
Dangote is said to be supporting Abiodun with funds and influence.
The Chairman of Dangote group is said to have doled out “huge money” to Abiodun, who is a wealthy man on his own.
Insiders revealed Dangote has also joined forces with Abiodun to ensure Amosun does not get the party to “write the result”.
Societynow.ng learned it was the influence exerted by Dangote and Abiodun that “forced a rejection” of a consensus list for Ogun state APC candidates – from Amosun – by the leadership of the APC at the national level.
“Dangote is really up against Amosun” a source stated.
Societynow.ng learned the billionaire is helping Abiodun to “contain” Amosun’s attempt to leverage on influence in the Presidency in the raging fight to determine who becomes the next Governor of Ogun state.
“And things are really not looking good for Amosun” a source confirmed.
Societynow, ng confirmed both Amosun and Dangote have a sour history.
