The anointed candidate is Adekunle Tajudeen Akinlade.
Akinlade is the husband to ex-beauty queen Chinenye Ochuba.
Ochuba is a former Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria beauty pageant Queen. 
Societynow.ng reported news of Akinlade’s closeness to Governor Amosun – and “serious consideration” – as a possible successor to Amosun as far back as March 2017.
societynow.ng learned Amosun unveiled Akinlade as his chosen successor at a meeting with All Progressives Congress gubernatorial aspirants in Ogun state in the early hours of today, Thursday, September 6 2018.
With this development, the governor fulfils his pledge to the people of Yewa, the minority area of Ogun state yet to produce a governor that he would pick his successor from the area.
48 years old Akinlade a serving Federal House of Representatives Member in Ogun state becomes the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
