Covid-19: Deputy, Egbeyemi Takes Over As Gov Fayemi Goes Into Isolation

Deputy Governor Bisi Egbeyemi is now in charge of Ekiti State.

This development is due to Governor Kayode Fayemi testing positive to Covid-19.

The Governor has gone into isolation to battle the pandemic while Egbeyemi takes the reins of government.

Fayemi made known this development with a tweet on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, which reads

“I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive.

“I’m generally ok and I’m already self isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team.”

“I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home.”
