Court Orders Kashamu Buruji To Surrender Self For Investigation Into Allegation Of Trying To Kill Ladi Adebutu

Senator Kashamu Buruji has been ordered to submit self for investigation by the police over alleged attempt to kill House of Representatives member Ladi Adebutu.

Both Kashamu and Adebutu are embroiled in a fierce struggle for control of the People’s Democractic Party in Ogun state.

Adebutu had alleged Kashamu and his men attempted to kill him during Peoples Democratic Party’s convention held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on August 16, 2016 .

The Ogun state gubernatorial aspirant had written a petition against his estranged backer to the Inspector General of Police on the matter.

Kashamu had written a counter petition that Adebutu was working in concert with state agencies to abduct him and smuggle him to United States of America for alleged drug charges.Ladi Adebutu

The accusation and counter accusations had resulted in a court case.

And today – Thursday July 6 – a Federal High Court in Abuja manned by Justice Nnamdi Dimgba ruled the Senator should submit self for investigation into petition against him.

The Courts order also came with a verdict.

According to information sourced from Punch, the court also stipulated that “any attempt by security agencies, particularly the police and the Department of State Service to capitalise on the said investigation by arresting the senator, incarcerating him and transport him to the United States of America to face illicit drugs charges would be unlawful.”
