Behind The Scene… Transport Union Boss Kunle Poly Scampers Underground As Tinubu’s Man, Oluomo Takes Office As NURTW Chairman

Kunle Lawal, one of the bosses at the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos Island has scampered underground.

Societynow.ng learned that this development has to do with raging supremacy fight within the transport union.

Three people reportedly died as a result of the renewed attempt by loyalists of Lawal better known as Kunle Poly to take over an area assigned to a loyalist of new NURTW chairman Musiliu Akinsanyan (MC Oluomo).

‘’Poly scampered underground as a result of the investigation launched by the police’’ societynow.ng learned.

Kunle Poly is the arrowhead of the opposition to Oluomo’s emergence as the Chairman of the NURTW in Lagos state.

Kunle Poly ferociously acted out the ill-fated script of immediate past chairman Tajudeen Agbede – now one of the vice presidents to new national president Ibikunle Baruwa – to stop Oluomo ( a known street canvasser for powerful politician Asiwaju Tinubu) from becoming his successor.

‘’Though they succeeded in preventing an election from taking place, they couldn’t stop Baruwa from naming Oluomo as Chairman of the caretaker committee set up’’ a source pointed.

Societynow.ng learned that the quick move by Kunle Poly’s boys to spread influence ahead of Oluomo’s inevitable emergence resulted in the mess that forced him (poly) underground for now- especially without the influence of the NURTW to bail him out
