Investigation conducted by societynow.ng has revealed Abba Kyari as the chief promoter of the return of Mr Godwin Emefiele for another term as the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria.

Abba Kyari is the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The septuagenarian is as a matter of fact adjudged the most powerful individual in the government of President Buhari.

Mr Godwin Emefiele is one the government appointees inherited by the present administration from the reign of former president Goodluck Jonathan.

And it was largely believed he would be booted out immediately the administration of President Buhari took shape.

Surprisingly that wasn’t the case as the government of the day decided Emefiele should continue in his capacity as the nation’s number one banker.

Insiders claim this is primarily due to enormous backing from the “almighty” Chief of Staff Abba Kyari.

Mr Emefiele reportedly enjoyed a solid relationship with the President’s Chief of Staff.

According to information available their relationship actually preceded the current administration.

Kyari is said to have worked fast and hard to upturn the plot that resulted in the announcement Emefiele should proceed on suspension – just before the second term bid was actualized.

Emefiele was the target of political machinatons by a well known player in the ruling party to put his loyalists in key positions ahead of the take off of Buhari’s second term.

Emefiele survived the plot thanks to Kyari’s deft moves.

The Chief of Staff pulled the strings that blew the wind in favour of Mr Emefiele.

Insiders disclosed that Kyari has not only helped Emefiele to secure a second term in office but also serving as a cover for the CBN governor from ”high level” politicking threatening to turn his tasks into an ordeal.
