Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Gov Ibikunle Amosun Quarrel Over Romance With President Jonathan

It is confirmed. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of political party, Action Congress of Nigeria and one of the governor’s in the fold of his party- Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state are at logger heads.

The cause of their rift is attributed to moves by Gov Amosun to seek political rapport with President, Goodluck Jonathan.

The number one citizens of Ogun state recently employed strategy to be an integral party of the entourage of the President.

The move that saw Amosun visit Aso rock to perfect the approach was reportedly mooted by one of his commissioners, Bimbo Ashiru.

Ashiru is said to using ‘a top level’ protocol officer within the presidency to actualise the project.

Insiders revealed Asiwaju Tinubu, on getting wind of the ploy has tagged it ‘betrayal of trust’

According to a source ‘political opponents of Amosun within ACN brought the development to Asiwaju’s attention, but he crossed checked and confirmed it and was astounded and betrayed’

The general perception in the political leader’s camp is that, Amosun is preparing to go back to his root.

The governor of Ogun state was formerly a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on People’s Democratic Party, before he joined the All Nigeria’s People party because of the gubernatorial ambition he attained on the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria.

‘Jargaban Borgu feels betrayed and has shown it to the Governor…the latter is said to have denied it…the multiplier effect of that happenstance is the simmering quarrel between the governor and his political leader’ a source provided more insight.

Deputy Governor Segun Adesegun is said to be leveraging on the current scenerio to ingrate himself with opponents of his boss.

As at press time, the number two man is said to be becoming the favoured person of Asiwaju Tinubu and the arrow head of opposition against Gov Amosun within the Ogun state government.

Abimbola Ashiru, one of the commissioners and confidante of Mr Governor just engineered a peace meeting between Amosun and Aremo Segun Osoba hiding under the camouflage of respected monarch, Oba Sikiru Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebuland.

Aremo Osoba is the political godfather of Deputy governor Adesegun. He is also the Ogun state leader of Action Congress of Nigeria.

According an insider, the attempt to reconcile with him is a master stroke aimed at taking the wind of the conflict sail of Adesegun and also shut out Asiwaju out of the politics of Ogun states.
