Everything point to a walkover by Musiliu Akinsanya more popularly known as MC Oluomo about twenty-four (24) hours to the election that determines who succeeds Tajudeen Agbede as the Chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the National Road Transport Workers.

Oluomo, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress who is well known as a mobilizer of street support for powerful politician Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is up against Micheal Odugunle(Baba Ajilo), the candidate of outgoing chairman Agbede.

Agbede is fiercely against Oluomo and has thrown up all manners of obstacles against his aspirants but it appears it is all about to come to naught.

After a massive underground campaign, Oluomo as at today openly boasts support from 120 branch chairman out of about 130 and the backing of 12 members of the executive committee in less than 20 ahead of the make or mar election scheduled for Thursday, August 29.

‘’And it’s not empty boast but the reality on ground’’ societynow.ng learned.

Insiders insist to societynow.ng that with the 120 branch chairmen and 12 members of the executive committee members, Oluomo currently boasts of 90% of what it takes to become the Chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers.

Societynow.ng learned that Oluomo’s cry out for the Police and Secret Police to take interest in the upcoming election to prevent an outbreak of violence is proving a smart move as he continues to amass support.
