We Pledge Allegiance To The Govt Of Oluomo! Arrested NURTW Members Negotiate Freedom From Police Net

The details available to societynow.ng have it that rival members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers – in Lagos state – lured into the net of the police by Chairman Musiliu Akinsanya (Better known as MC Oluomo) have started negotiations to secure their freedom.

The negotiation is two pronged, there is an undertaking not to foment trouble when they are released.

”And without any trouble, Oluomo is free to reign in a trouble-free environment” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders revealed there is also the angle some of the arrested members that ”have started proclaiming allegiance to MC Oluomo – who is a known street muscle for powerful politician Asiwaju Bola Tinubu – as part of efforts to secure their freedom”.

Societynow.ng gathered that the arrested NURTW members – from different factions- were engaged in supremacy tussle with MC Oluomo over control of the transport union affairs in Lagos Island.

The chairman invited them to a peace meeting at the secretariat of the Union in Agege(Lagos state) and got police to arrest them for ”making trouble”.

”It is true, they were making trouble but with Oluomo over union matter” societynow.ng learned.

Oluomo has since put NURTW members fiercely loyal to him as the caretaker committee in charge of the affairs of the troubled zone.
