differences with re election seeking Kayode Fayemi.

It is generally believed that as Labour Party chieftain, Bamidele worked hand in glove with Fayose to unseat Fayemi.

The ‘political rapport’ with duo was so much that at a point, it was widely believed Bamidele was on the verge of joining the PDP with his large followership in Ekiti.

According to sources on ground ‘Fayose leveraged on Bamidele’s tacit support to make impressive dwarfing of the once virile political machinery of the APC in Ekiti.

The height was the scampering out of the state of leadership of the State House of Assemble that paved way for it’s sacking and setting up of a parallel by Governor Fayose.

Seeing things get out of control for them in one of their perceived strongholds , while in pursuit of federal presence to achieve a more far reaching objective of wining the Presidential election with Muhammadu Buhari as candidate, APC leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu lobbied Bamidele back into the party fold.

Bamidele with his movement out of the APC and subsequent collapse of the party’s hold on Ekiti state and it’s politics proved a force to be reckoned with in the area.

And his return to APC and curtailing of the political antics of governor Fayose has re
emphasised that.

The overly aggressive state governor is now on the defensive, thanks to allegations of ‘rigging’ decorating the election that brought him to power.

The Governor is allegedly caught on tape plotting on to ‘rig’ his election along with other party chieftains and loyalists.

The development puts the credibility of his position in question , with the governor formerly at the throat of opposition described as ‘having his handful quelling the fire of the damning allegation’.

It is believed ally turned foe, Bamidele one of architects of the weighty allegation that has attracted myriad denials from all those fingered, including ex minister of state for Defence and outplayed gubernatorial aspirant – Musiliu Obanikoro.

However with one of the barometers of the APC’s performance at governance, Babatunde Fashola insisting more evidence to substantiate the allegations against Fayose and his co accusers in the election rigging allegations on the way, there are strong indications the Ekiti governor is now ‘ a cornered once upon a time aggressor’

The returnee APC chieftain is being portrayed as moving out of the party because former governor Fayemi refused to heed his urging to fulfill promises of ‘better life’ for ‘followers’.

His return is being heralded as coming to execute what the ousted governor failed to achieve. Bamidele and his lieutenants are working on the line of persuasion, the key move is to support the APC to sweep as many positions as possible in the upcoming elections, particularly the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives.

‘With heavy presence in the Federal Government, the party men and possible voters are being told, a lot would be done to influence their standard of living, especially by a man that left the party over the issue and only returned after guarantees he would be given free hand to make an impact’ an insider disclosed

Findings by societynowng.com however revealed, what is however not spoken is the hidden expectations in the ploy – the support for the Presidential and Federal House of Assemble polls would spill on to other contests for the APC.

‘With Fayose and his men drawn away into battle to retain his seat, it might work – but in winning lies another problem, Bamidele would become a hero and in the world created by Asiwaju within the APC especially the southwest…is there room for another hero other himself?’ another source posited.

‘ Or is it Fayemi that lost his seat due to his machination and now being castigated for Bamidele to rise and be more relevant that would let things just go like that’ another source queried.
