Member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, has explained her enduring relationship with the family of late Senator Adebayo Osinowo, popularly known as “Pepperito,” saying the bond goes far beyond politics.

The famous politician was also known simple as “Pepper”.

Ogbara spoke after joining the Osinowo family at this year’s Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Describing the occasion as “a profound honor,” she said standing with the family of the late senator remains deeply significant to her.

“Joining the matriarch of the Osinowo family, Alhaja Mariam Osinowo, amidst the vibrant colour and grandeur of Ijebu Ode, is an experience that always carries deep emotional and sacred significance for me,” she said.

According to the lawmaker, the festival offered an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of a leader “who meant so much to so many.”

She stressed that her closeness to the family is rooted in loyalty and gratitude rather than politics.

“For years, showing up for this family has never been a mere obligation for me; it is a duty born of pure love, deep gratitude and unyielding loyalty,” Ogbara said, asserted “My relationship with the wonderful Osinowo family has gracefully transcended the realm of politics. They have truly become my own family, an integral part of my life and journey.”

Ogbara’s remarks come weeks after she lost the APC primary ticket for the 2027 House of Representatives election in Kosofe Federal Constituency to Dele Osinowo.

However, she has maintained that a review of the primary process would favour her.

Despite the political contest, Ogbara said her bond with the Osinowo family remains strong.

“Spending the day in the comforting warmth of his loved ones and stakeholders fills my heart with immense gratitude,” she insisted.

And, added: “May the remarkable legacy of Senator Bayo ‘Pepperito’ Osinowo continue to guide and inspire our steps.”

The lawmaker concluded by saying that “true greatness is not measured by the titles we hold, but by the lives we uplift along the way.”
