2. Be very knowledgeable. Know something about most things.
3. Understand the place of adding value.
4. Recognize that there’s room for coming short.
5. You are not doing comms, Branding or marketing. You are the business & brand. Infuse it within yourself. Understand it deeply. Live it. Know everything about it – even those things that seem mundane.
6. Learn to connect dots – randomized or not.
7. Think of your role as a strategic function. Find your way to be on the decision making table – regardless of your position within the structure. Think profit-centred rather than cost-centred
8. Be YOU. Embrace your fears

10. Work hard at mastery – of the role, of yourself, of the brand, and your competitors
11. You are only as good as your consistent output and its reflection on the brand you represent
