A fresh war between Aare Gani Adams and Segun Akanni has erupted.

While Adams is said to be prosecuting the war behind the scene, Akanni has blown it open.

Segun Akanni, the former aide of Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland Gani Adams has raised a fresh alarm of alleged threats to his person.

In a series of Facebook posts over the weekend, Akanni who served Adams for all of seventeen years over the weekend claims the Aare Ona Kakanfo is making a fresh move against him.

Akanni who insisted he ‘’followed’’ Adams for 20years and ‘’served’’ him for seventeen years wondered why the Aare Ona Kankafo is not tired of the ceaseless attacks on his person.

Akanni who insisted all the character assassination and spiritual attacks orchestrated by Adams failed to hurt him warned ‘’others’’ to be wary of the Aare Ona Kakanfo because ‘’ He is coming for you’’.

This development comes a year after Akanni fled Nigeria to Canada in the face of series of public beatings from loyalists of Adams who were fingered to be members of the dreaded Oodua People’s Congress (OPC).

Gani Adams is a co-founder and patron of the OPC.

Adams accused Akanni who was his longest-serving aide of betrayal and sacked.

The Aare, amongst other charges, accused Akanni N200million – along with others – of receiving N200million to ‘’neutralize’’ him.

Akanni denied the charges but those acting on behalf of Adams did not and continued to attack the former aide, including invading and wrecking his home, until he fled abroad.

With Akanni out of the country, the controversy over the development died down – until Akanni raised the fresh alarm of renewed threat over the weekend.
