Amotekun Deals Major Blow To Aare Ona Kakanfo Gani Adams

Amotekun, the south-west security network has dealt – and is still dealing – a major blow to Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams.

Societynow.ng gathered that Amotekun has taken away major revenue lifelines of Gani Adams.

Insiders disclosed that the situation has reached such a height that the Aare Ona Kakanfo openly complains of neglect from those who used to patronize him and the ones expected to do so since he assumed his new status.

“The reality is that Gani Adams gets major patronage by providing security support as leader of the OPC (Odua People’s Congress) to Governors, politicians generally. They contract him especially during elections and business people also hire his services to help them safeguard places of value but Amotekun has become the veritable alternative, particularly for the governors and governments who were Gani Adam’s major patrons” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed that the irony for Gani Adams is that the advent of Amotekun has not only knocked off the elevation of businesses and boosted revenues expected with the new title of Aare Ona Kakanfo but virtually halted the flow of existing income.

“And this is one major blow the Aare Ona Kakanfo is still struggling to find a way around” societynow.ng learned.

Amotekun is the South West Security Network set up by Governors in the region to tackle insecurity.
