According to Adaora Umeoji, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Plc, the expansion into Manchester reflects the bank’s long-term strategy to position itself as a leading African financial institution that connects businesses across continents.

“The opening of our Manchester branch represents another important step in Zenith Bank’s growth as a leading African financial institution connecting businesses and markets across continents,” Umeoji disclosed ahead of the launch.

The CEO explained that Manchester’s position as one of the United Kingdom’s most dynamic commercial centres made it a natural choice for the bank’s next phase of expansion in the country.

The new office will complement Zenith Bank’s existing operations in London and will serve as a strategic hub for companies involved in international trade and cross-border investments. Through the Manchester branch, the bank plans to provide corporate banking, trade finance, treasury services and related financial solutions to clients operating across the United Kingdom, Europe and Africa insiders revealed.

The city’s vibrant business ecosystem and international outlook align closely with Zenith Bank’s expertise in corporate banking, structured finance and trade finance.

The Manchester branch is expected to work closely with the bank’s London operations and its wider international network to support companies seeking to expand into new markets while facilitating cross-border transactions between Europe and Africa.
