The King of New Generation fuji musicians will be 50 on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

But there appears not to be much buzz about the upcoming 50th birthday of the musician ramping up numbers across different streaming platforms with his latest album, Password.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that Malaika and his handlers are intentionally not making much noise about the landmark birthday because of the prevailing political issues in the country.

“It is an election year. It happens that this particular election year is getting far more attention any in the recent past. Elections for Federal and State political offices will hold on February 25, 2023, and March 11, 2023, respectively.

There are talks that Malaika will shift the grand celebration of his 50th birthday, which falls on February 15, to a later date in the year, possibly after the swearing-in of new political officeholders on May 29, 2023.

Members of his team, however, confirm that a mini concert for hardcore fans will take place at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on February 19, 2023.

The concert-themed “King Malaika’s 50 Birthday” has a N1.5million price tag on Platinum Table, N1m on Gold Table and N600,000 on Silver Table.
