Why Presidency Is Jittery Over Saraki As APC “Leadership” Becomes “Extra Nice”

Re-election seeking president Muhammadu Buhari and his men are jittery.

And the reason for this is simple.

The opposition, People’s Democratic Party is throwing everything it has into the coming battle to wrest power through the 2019 election.

The PDP bigwigs are targetting key men in Buhari’s administration, particularly those who crossed over to enable APC to become the ruling party in power.

With former vice president, Atiku Abubakar back in the fold of the PDP, sources disclosed an audacious bid is being made for Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Saraki, with his deft political moves and depth understanding of the realities of governance, has transformed the Senate – and the National Assembly as a whole – into the most “relevant” institution of Government.

And a stabilizing force in the “chaos” of governance.

PDP’s targetting of Saraki is labeled two-fold, to take away the foundation of the internal stability of the Buhari administration and cast huge credibility problem on the government by making off with a major player as the “Senate President”.

Insiders disclosed those very close to the Senate President are being used as “emissaries” to woo him over.

Sources disclosed the moves by the PDP are being frustrated with the counter action of becoming “extra nice and accommodating” of the Senate President and his men.
