Why Fayose Started Presidential Campaign While Fighting For 3rd Term As Gov

Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose appears to have kick started campaign to become President of Nigeria in 2019.

This development is coming at time talks of his ambition to succeed self as the governor of Ekiti is still strong in the state.

Fayose gave signal of his presidential ambition via the social media.

He is reported to have opened a facebook page and twitter handle.

The facebook page with the motto “Strong, Reliable and Rugged” is said to describe the governor as “Pro Masses. Accessible. Ekiti State Governor. Chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum. Husband and Father… He’s Peter (The Rock)”.

The twitter handle identified as @Oshoko2019 is said to be inactive at present.

The move which is said to a be a direct stage at desire to wrestle power from ailing president Muhammadu Buhari by his voracious critic has left keen watchers of events confused.

The Ekiti Governor is making the move at a time he claims to be working on legal antics that would help him complete his stunted first term in office – during the era of ex president Olusegun Obasanjo – by succeeding self.

The agenda already nicknamed “Fayose’s third term” is one of the most topical in the state – and has kept others interested in his position, in and out of his People’s Democratic Party, on their toes.

Insiders, however, claim the move is typical fayose’s strategy.

Information has it, the strategy is to confuse opponents and make them splinter their forces against him.

“It’s a classical warfare move…he wants to hide his true intention and force opponents to not be able to concentrate their forces against his real objective” an insider explained.
