VP Osinbajo “Scandalized” As He takes Side In Fashola, Tinubu Fight
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is facing a snowballing image crisis.
His sparkling posture as a role model pastor in politics is being shredded by raging comments.
The Vice President is facing this development as a result of “publicly” taking sides in the fight between Minister Babatunde Raji Fashola and political leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Osinbajo widely known as a Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God is accused of denying
Fashola his due right to the latter’s face – in the presence of all.
At the recently held 10th Bola Ahmed Tinubu colloquium – the yearly event in honor of the All
Progressives Congress leader’s birthday – the Vice President in his speech was quoted as saying in passing that “Some of those with whom they started the idea were probably here”.
It later emerged Fashola was actually the originator of the Idea and largely funded the concept while serving as Lagos state Governor.
He reportedly “mobilized” Osinbajo to spearhead the project on inception.
Fashola , the immediate past governor of Lagos state and a serving minister was not recognized at the 10th anniversary of the concept he created by current organizers based on existing relationship between him and Tinubu.
They are both enmeshed in a war of relevance with strong roots in allegations of disloyalty and attempt to send one to political oblivion.
Osinbajo’s comment of some of those “we started the idea probably here” has attracted huge backlash of fanning the embers of discord between Tinubu and Fashola by taking side with one against the other.
And not just taking side by denying a man his due, but contributing to the “ill treatment” of Fashola who was reduced to a spectator at the occasion.
Osinbajo is being decorated with dark colors based on premise that as a “Pastor” and “senior lawyer” he should know better.
He is particularly being bashed as social media post by Thisday Editor Wale Olayele drew attention to the development, and related write up by Sam Omatseye, a Senior Media man with strong links in the Tinubu camp confirmed Fashola truly created the colloquium at which he was ill treated .
